I am an engineer-turned-journalist and editor living in New York, NY. With a background in computer engineering, I have four years’ experience as a writer, reporter, and web content editor. I’ve lived all over the world: in three countries, five cities, and three continents.
I have worked for nonprofits, higher education institutions, technology companies, boutique writing studios, financial publishing firms, and news organizations based in the U.S., India, Germany, U.K., and Malaysia.
My areas of expertise include spot news, in-depth features, digital newsletters, social media, copy-editing, proofreading, content marketing, reporting, communication strategies, branding, mobile journalism, and web design.
My work has been published by Cornell Chronicle, The Daily Texan, Austin Business Journal, Austin Fusion Magazine, Longhorn Life, StreetAuthority LLC, Reporting Texas, YouthLeader Magazine, The Viewspaper, Youth Ki Awaaz, Toonari Media, The Pencil Box, Pixie Dust Writing Studio, and CityNinjas.com.
I am a deadline-driven storyteller with a keen eye for stories that matter and with a passion for writing about influential minds and strong individuals. I am hands-on and proactive when it comes to day-to-day content development, cross-functional collaboration, and people management and relationship-building.
I welcome challenges, and opportunities to be creative in a fast-paced, high-energy environment. My dream job is to work at the intersection of media, technology, data and design to create compelling stories using multiple mediums and platforms.
Presently, I manage social media, branding, website design and content development for Cornell University Cooperative Extension in New York City.
